Arrival at Lake Velence – The First Day When we got out of the car, the air smelled fresh, like water and autumn mixed together. It was Halloween time , so there were pumpkins at the hotel entrance — some smiling, some scary. I immediately ran ahead while my parents were still taking the bags out of the car. I couldn’t wait to see what the inside looked like. The lobby was huge. There was this big open space with comfy couches, plants, and sunlight shining through the tall glass walls. But what caught my attention right away was the dry slide . Yep — a real slide — inside the lobby! I couldn’t believe it. It was bright red, twisting down from the upper floor all the way to the ground level.
